My Journey to the Juvenile Center

One of the most memorable moments of my life was when I went to Juvenile center. That was the biggest mistake of my life. I was involved in grand theft auto because we stole a car. This crime happened on July 3, during the summer of 2006.

My cousin and I stole a car off Drake and Augusta so we can make it back home. We start to ride toward home. We made it where we live but the police start flashing their lights so we drove off on them. We were laughing at them because they were mad because they couldn’t catch us.

The police was chasing up around were we live and was chasing us for about ten minutes. We made it to an alley.  We can run, but one of our friends got stuck in the car and the police had caught him. We were scared to get caught, so we ran from them.

We kept running and one of the police officer was behind running so we went through a gangway and hid under a porch, but they caught us anyway.   We went to the police station and they charged us with grand theft auto.

They gave us six months of community service Mondays and Fridays at a center called Teen Town on Jackson and Homan. Teen Town is a great place to keep you out of trouble, but I just choose not to go there everyday. I got tried of going and doing the same thing everyday.

That was the biggest mistake I made in my life and I will never do nothing like that no more. That is too much community service just for a stolen vehicle.  I will never make this mistake ever again,  and  my advice is you don’t make a mistake like this either.
