Dance Contest
We went to the state dance contest and it was great. It was our time to shine and we got up there and did it big. We dance until we couldn’t dance no more. When we got done our score was 169. It was time for the other teams to dance. When they finished, their scores were lower, but one team got the same score as we did. We had to break the tie so we dance the routine. It was close but they won. We cried but still cheer for the other team and their winnings because they were great.
The most challenging part about my event was when they had up a new routine to break the tie. We were nervous and tired because we didn’t have a back up routine, so we knew we were going to lose. They did their routine and we did our same routine that we did before. It was shocking because I never seen a team make up a routine so quick.
When done finishing we cried and then the coach came up to us and said that the referee said that the other team cheated there coach came over there and change the score board we caught her on camera. The coach said we better practice because it’s going to be tough. They were mad they thought they won it was a tough contest. The coach of the other team came over and said you are still going to lose and I step in add said we won before if you didn’t change the board because we are the best and nothing less.
After, we left the stadium we went back to dance studio to make up a new routine. We practice and practice it was hard trying to come up with something that could beat them, to really make them suffer for what they did to us. The coach made us stretch for 20 minutes and he made up do splits and get toss in the air 5 times. Our coach was not playing he was us to win this fair and square and this time there was not going to any cheating. We all said we are going to win what we came here for. We finally got done with our routine in it was time to practice it 12 times to see if we have the power and energy to do the routine.
