An Art Yet Mastered

I have taken a heroic journey of rapping and poetic speeches.  On this journey I have gained knowledge and insight on what I want to do in the future. In my journey I have also gained friends and the respect of those who rap and write poetry. This journey has had a positive effect on me as well as others. Hopefully this journey I explain will give you an urge to explore it.

My journey took place at school on an early morning. I was sitting at the breakfast table when a friend of mine asks me to buy them some candy from a teacher that was selling some. I went into the room and was hypnotized by the smell of candy. As I was buying the candy in the room, there was someone named Shawn who was rapping about something that happened at school. His rhyme scheme and clever metaphors inspired me to become a fellow artist.

After months of studying rap and other artists aside from Shawn, I had became very advanced at rhythm and poetry (r-a-p). After proving that I was good enough to rap in front of anyone and hold their attention with multiple punch lines that were just ok I decided to join the group. They were already in the middle of making an album so being that I came in late I was featured on one song and had two introductory singles. After the album was released it felt like everybody was interested in meeting the new kid on the block. From this point on I knew that this would be a journey in which I could learn a lot.

Months go by, and we have done shows together, eat dinner together, went to see movies and just overall became a family. Each person in the group has their own unique personality in which you’ll want to just chill with when you want to hangout. With friends like the ones I have you can’t help but to be caught laughing all the time. I wish the journey I am on had come sooner. I think if anybody wants to follow their dream they should do just that.

I can honestly say that I have gained nothing but positive things that have helped me  become a more open minded person. I have also learned what it is like to work in a group outside of school. I would definitely encourage anyone to join a group that is about doing something positive and not something negative. I feel a journey that involves something constructive is a journey worth taking.  Now that all has been said, this has been my heroic journey.
