What are the different forms of racism?
I know many people that have been racist and I ask them why are they so racist, and they tell me that it is because of what they did to our people back in the day and they say they will never forgive them for what they did. I think that they should let everything that happened in the past go because it won’t do anything but keep it going in a cycle. They will do something that will affect you and the people around you. Then you will do something that will affect them and the people around them. People will start to get hurt and a lot of people will get affected. The same thing will keep happening with different people and the cycle will keep going.
If we all just get along with one another there wouldn’t have to be a problem with racism. I went to school where blacks are the minority. Now I go to a school where the blacks are the majority and I see that when I was at the white school I had a privilege that not many people had a chance to have. When I was at the white school it seemed as if I was treated like I was a token child, like I was less fortunate than they were. To me it felt as if I had done something wrong and they were just waiting for the right time to punish me. It was an experience to see what a sense of racism feels like.
